Encore Housing Opportunity Fund I

Encore Housing Opportunity Fund I was formed in 2009, raised $160 million in equity commitments, and invested in 19 assets from June 2010 through August 2012. The strategy was to acquire land, lots, and partially completed projects, then pursue a variety of exit strategies including selling land to developers, selling lots to builders, and selling homes to consumers.

The Fund returned 50% of investor capital by end of 2013, the year in which the investment period expired, and anticipates to have fully realized all of investments except one by mid 2016.
